Asian-Inspired Salad Dressing

A punchy dressing with rice vinegar, soy, sesame, and ginger. Brilliant on slaws, mixed greens, or any Asian-inspired salad.

Asian-Inspired Salad Dressing

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Japanese rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp ketjap manis
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • ½ tsp fresh ginger (grated)

Method

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the rice vinegar, soy sauce1 tbsp soy sauce, and ketjap manis1 tsp ketjap manis until well combined.
  2. Add the minced garlic1 clove garlic (minced) and grated ginger½ tsp fresh ginger (grated), whisking to incorporate.
  3. Slowly drizzle in the sesame oil1 tbsp sesame oil while whisking continuously, followed by the sunflower oil2 tbsp sunflower oil, whisking until the dressing is well emulsified.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Use immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to one week.

☘ Tip

Give the dressing a good whisk before using as the oils may separate when stored.
